First Week Home Alone with Mom
This is the first week that Luke and I have spent home alone together. We are having a fun time, but as you can imagine it leaves me little time to update this blog. What do we do all day? Well, one thing we do is play dress up. So, here's a fashion show:

Little Skier

Luke loooves his changing table. He can lay on it for 30 minutes at a time, just staring. We're not sure what he is staring at. Yesterday I put him on his belly and he demonstrated his superior head-raising skills:

I measured him yesterday and he is over 23 inches. Not sure of his weight since we don't have a scale, but he's probably over 11 pounds by now. He's a big, healthy guy!

Also, Luke finally got his belly button this week!
And here's the whole baby in all his glory.

Luke's Third Week
Grandma and Grandpa Siorek and Uncle Mark left yesterday. Now Luke only has Mom and Dad to entertain him, and then soon just Mom when Dad goes back to work on Monday. Here are some photos that Grandma Siorek took earlier this week. It was hard to narrow down which ones to post, she took so many good ones:

Matt and I are going to cocoon ourselves in the house and enjoy the remaining 5 days he has off from work. Luke continues to amaze us every day. We still can't believe how he can lift his head up for 10-15 seconds at a time. And yesterday he rolled over onto his right side when he was on his belly.

Luke had his two-week check-up today. He weighed in at 10lbs 15 oz! Soon he will be bigger than Roosevelt the Cat!

Happy Two-week Birthday!
Luke is two weeks old today! It's amazing how much his face changes every day, and even from expression to expression. You can start to see the little boy he will become. He is growing too fast!

At his last pediatrician appointment Luke weighed in at 10lb 4.5 oz. He did get down to 9lb 15.5 oz at the appointment before that. The doctor was a little concerned that he lost weight after leaving the hospital, but now I think we have the feedings figured out. We try to feed him every 3 hours during the day and every 4 hours at night. He's a good night sleeper already. I have to wake him up to feed him. I think he could sleep 5 or more hours sometimes if I didn't. All in all, he's a very good baby with a good disposition. He doesn't startle easily and seems to be interested in new things. I hope he has Matt's easy-going, friendly personality!

Mondays
Luke is one week old!

Luke spent the morning multi-tasking with Dad. In just a week, Matt has become a real Dad. He can watch TV, surf the internet, drink coffee, and entertain Luke all at the same time.

Here is Matt's newborn picture.

Compare it to this picture of Luke. Do you see the resemblance?

I never posted my 40-week belly shot. Here is what I looked like the morning my water broke. Would you think there was a 10lb 11oz baby in there?

And here's the picture that finishes out the belly-shot series. You can click on the Flickr Slideshow link over at the left to see the whole series.
