Easter 2013

We had a nice Easter this year and will be eating Easter candy at least until 4th of July. Here are Luke and Jake with Easter presents from Grandma Stewart.

What awesome loot!

On Easter after doing an egg hunt in our house, we went over Grandma and Grandpa's house. Luke found his basket outside in the back yard!

Striking a pose while Jake hangs out in the background.
Seriously, is anyone paying attention to that baby?
Ah, Grandpa was there the whole time.
Luke pretty much got his fill of chocolate for awhile.

Jake and Grandma Siorek.

What a sweetheart.

Jake loves his Uncle Andy and the feeling is mutual.

Spring Break in St. Louis

Luke had a week of Spring Break after his birthday. We tried to do fun things with him. He really wanted to go to the Missouri Botanical Gardens and take pictures of the flowers. Here he is at the Orchid Show taking pictures with his iTouch.

He probably took 200 pictures of the gardens that day. Literally.

And the next day at Forest Park. He loves taking pictures with his iTouch.

And this is how Spring Break ended-- with an extra snow day. We are so ready for Spring !

The next week on Luke's half-day Friday, Daddy took Luke golfing.

Jakie Jake!

Here are some cute pictures of Jake from March. How could a picture of Jake not be cute?!
Jake is sitting up by himself for short periods of time. One day Luke counted to 21 before Jake toppled over. Luke ran to his room and got his soccer medal and hung it around Jake's neck.
Jake really likes Tummy Time now, in fact prefers it to being on his back. He can roll over now, too, quick as a flash. But he only likes to do it when he thinks no one is watching.

Ooops, sorry Grandpa.
Swinging on the porch.

He was kind of iffy on the swing

Luke's 5th Birthday

Luke's 5th Birthday was Saturday, March 16 and we had a party at our house! I was so busy making sure everything at the party was going OK that I forgot to take pictures. I took more pictures BEFORE the party of the cake and food than I did of the birthday boy. So, uh, here's this cake I baked.

The party theme was The Moon and Space.

We had fruit rockets and two different cupcakes that Luke decorated, homemade chocolates, snacks, and cake.

Before the guests arrived.

Luke during the cake ceremony. Broody and pensive as usual.

Luke blew the candles out in one great blow. Here he is looking cool afterward, like it was no big deal.
