Day Care

Luke really likes his Day Care. Every morning when we walk in he is all smiles. He smiles a big good morning at the other babies, his "friends," -- Camille, Morgan, Travis, Reese, Isabella, Lillian, Jackson, Tallinn, Hugo, Preston, and Graham. The first few weeks it was really hard to leave him. Now we feel really good about it. He gets a lot of stimulation and social time, and also sleeps really well there. He takes longer naps at Day Care than he does at home.

Here he is ready to go to "school" in the morning.

Here is Luke at school. That's his head teacher, Biyanu, in the background
preparing breakfast for Reese and Morgan. There is some art work drying in the background.
Welcome to my school!
This morning, Luke got a lot of 1-on-1 time.
There are about 10 to 12 other babies in the infant room with Luke. There are about 4 to 5 teachers. The babies also play in the splash tub and go outside. They sing songs and read books and stare at bubbles. And of course, they roll around a lot on blue mats and play with toys that the teachers switch out every hour. Matt and I try to go see him every day at lunch. The Day care is only a couple blocks from where we work. When Luke is 11 months old he will graduate to the Wobblers room.

Luke has started rolling onto his belly every chance he gets.
Even at night in his crib. Here he is playing with his soccer ball.
And after a long day at school, it's always a good idea to take a bath.

Hi, Daniela -- Wesley and I have enjoyed looking at the photos. Wesley likes seeing pics of other kids. Cute close-up of Luke in the car seat; he looks good in that black shirt! -- Lisa (and The Scrunge aka Wesley)

Hey guys-

Found your blog through the Sykes'. Your little man looks pretty sweet. So... speaking of daycare... where is this place? We are currently in the market. Hope to see you soon!
