Remainders of January-- Jake

And here are pics of Jake from the end of January.

From a Grandma photo shoot series-- pose 1 . . .

. . . and pose 3.

Snuggling with brother on the couch.

Morning TV. Maybe Curious George.

Jake is always more interested in what Luke is doing.

Jake eating his toes on the changing table. Terrible phone camera pic.

Jake's first and so far only trip to the grocery store. He zoned out for 15 minutes and then it got to be too much and I had to carry him in one arm and shop with the other arm for the rest of the time.

Sweet baby smiles

Remainders of January-- Luke

Lord, I have over a month's worth of time to catch up on. I have no excuse except being so busy with work and the boys and exhaustion at the end of the day. Time is getting away from me. Here are some pics of Luke from the end of January.

I took Luke to the Planetarium and he took it upon himself to lay down and start posing with the floor.
My True North-- one of them
Oh, just sitting in a box and making up words and symbols.

He fills pages and pages with this.

Matt picked Luke up from school and found him working on this project.

Bros

Luke has totally become a doting big brother. He likes to refer to Jake as Baby Bro, dances like a crazed monkey to make Jake laugh, and tries to comfort him when he cries. Jake's face lights up when he sees Luke. I can't wait until Jake's big enough for them to run around together.

Jake admiring the train set he's going to inherit some day.

Luke made a bed out of stuffed animals for Jake to lay down on.

Jake at 5 Months

Jake turned 5 months this weekend. He's been doing great, getting better at his fine motor skills, starting to eat solids, and just started sleeping longer through the night (yay!). He is growing so fast, I'm having to put him into 9-month sleepers because his legs are so long.

Jake waiting for the doctor at his 4 month check-up. He weighed almost 15 pounds.

Jake is getting good at manipulating small toys and works really hard at putting his pacifier in his mouth.

Tummy time is something we have to remember to do. Jake doesn't like it and doesn't last for long.

Rice cereal!

Luke in January

We've had a low key January and with the holidays over, are finally feeling settled into a routine in the new house. Here are some pictures of Luke from the last month.
Luke got a castle-building block set from Aunt Ronny for Christmas. He loves building things with blocks and is very proud of his castles.

Happy Baby New Year

Here is a round up of December 2012 pics, featuring Jake!

A quick video of Jake doing some talking and smiling. I almost didn't post it because I'm talking too much. But his smiles are too cute not to share.

And a final quick video of Jake playing with toys. He is coming a long way in his hand/eye coordination. He is reaching for things and trying to control where they go-- mostly in his mouth.
